More support sessions made available to North East SMEs

SMEs located across North and South Tyneside, Sunderland and Gateshead are being offered free, one-to-one appointments to discuss how their businesses are coping, new market opportunities, the level of financial support available and ways to facilitate possible growth during the economic recovery.

Representatives from the North East Fund are providing their time free to any company, regardless of sector, that is needing information or would like to discuss specific requirements relevant to their business.

Time slots are available from 9am-5pm on the following days; Tuesday – South Tyneside companies, Wednesday – North Tyneside businesses, Thursday – Sunderland SMEs and Friday – organisations located in Gateshead.

Similarly, companies based in Newcastle, Northumberland and County Durham are also being offered advice sessions at any time during the week (office hours), with a rolling programme of joint events being held alongside enterprise agencies such as Business Durham. These can be found on the North East Fund website.

James Holloway of the North East Fund, explained, said: “We have had a really positive response to the virtual meetings over the last few months so we are very keen to keep them going for as long as needed. We’ve decided, in the short term, to dedicate certain days to individual local authority areas so that we can offer more time slots to companies and deliver advice relevant to those areas, industries or locations. However, should business owners be unable to make these days, we can be flexible and arrange a specific time to suit.”

Time slots are available each week from 9am-5pm. Please email (South Tyneside, Sunderland, Northumberland and Newcastle) or (Gateshead, North Tyneside, Durham and Newcastle).
