Jason Hobbs

Following experience with previous regional investment funds as Finance Director, Jason was appointed Chief Executive of The North East Fund in 2019. Having previously trained as a chartered accountant and working in a venture capital backed business, Jason has spent the past 18 years working on developing and managing regional investment programmes such as the North East Co-Investment Fund, the JEREMIE Fund, and now The North East Fund. His role encompasses monitoring and reporting on investment performance, setting the strategic direction of the company, and managing relationships with the Board, Advisory Panel, and the funding stakeholders such as the European Investment Bank.
